I can safely say that after jamming this album for 3 years, it is hands down my FAVORITE death metal album. I've never been able to pick a favorite before, but every single thing about this album is just perfection. Flawless production, god-level riffage, ride cymbal work that rings through to your bones, bass lines that perfectly accentuate the rhythm and the riffs, and of course HAIL MOLLUSCA

As it was inspired by David Lynch's 'Eraserhead', the lyrics mostly encroach upon the subjects of putrid deformity and insanity. They are well written, and the music is absolutely heavy as Hell. Certainly my favorite brutal death metal release.
